What we collect
- Information you give us. If you request our free Video Placement Toolkit, fill out a contact form, email, call, or text us, we collect what you provide, such as your name, email address, company, role, phone number, the type of video work you are interested in, and your message.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time on the site, and the website that referred you. We use cookies and similar technologies for this.
- Comments. If comments are enabled and you leave one, we collect what you enter in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser details to help detect spam. An anonymized string created from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service (https://automattic.com/privacy/) to check whether you have a profile picture.
How we use it
- To deliver the toolkit and other things you ask for.
- To reply to your questions and requests.
- To send you follow-up emails about video marketing and our services. You can unsubscribe at any time, using the link in the email or by emailing us.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To keep the site secure and prevent spam or abuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business and the site, and only as needed for those services:
- Google (Google Workspace for email, Google Forms and Sheets for sign-ups, Google Analytics through Site Kit for site statistics). Google’s privacy policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
- Our website hosting provider and WordPress plugins that keep the site running and secure.
- Anti-spam services that check comments and form submissions.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to run the site and to measure traffic through Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.
If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email, and website in cookies for one year so you do not have to retype them. If you log in to the site (only administrators and registered users), temporary cookies keep you signed in, and they expire after a few days, or two weeks if you choose “Remember Me.”
Embedded content
Pages on this site may include videos, images, or other content from third-party sites such as YouTube or Vimeo. Those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, and track how you interact with their content, as if you had visited them directly, including if you are signed in to an account there. Please see their own privacy policies.
How long we keep your information
We keep toolkit sign-ups and client communications as long as we have a business relationship with you or a reasonable business reason to, and then delete or anonymize them. If you leave a comment, the comment and its details are kept so we can recognize and approve your later comments. We may keep some records longer where the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
- You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time.
- You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing Nate@SocialProVideo.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. We may keep information we are legally required to keep.
- If you have an account on the site, you can see, edit, or delete your personal information in your profile, except your username.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is for businesses and adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Links to other sites
Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
